MAY MEETING AND PICNIC

The AAWV May meeting will be our picnic. This year we will have it at Susan Pauley’s house in St Albans on Thursday, May 2nd, at 6:00 pm. Her address is 113 Clinton Ave, St Albans, WV 25177. GPS is a little quirky for this address, so here are directions:

DIRECTIONS: Turn onto Strawberry Rd (GPS will get you there). Go about a mile. There will be a sharp right turn, and you will see a playground. Clinton Ave is to the right of the playground. There is a sign that says Edgewater Acres and Lone Oak Park. Once you turn onto Clinton, stay to the right and it is the last house on the road.

MAY MEETING AND PICNIC

PARKING: Six cars will fit in Susan’s driveway. You can also park along the road. For those who may want to carpool once you get to St Albans, you can meet at The Loop parking lot and safely leave your car there.

WHAT TO BRING: Please bring a side dish to share. We will provide fried chicken, plates, etc. Also, bring a piece of art to show. We always love to see what everyone else is doing! Good food, good art, good company! What more could you want? We ask that you RSVP (if you are attending) to Susan so we know how many to expect. Susan’s phone number: 304-541-8829. Also, if you get lost, you can call Susan or Linda 304-421-5016.

THANKS PATTY!

Special thanks to Patty Stewart for presenting our program at the April meeting. She gave us an abundance of information regarding in-person shows, including what to take, how to set up and display your art, and many tips on selling and enjoying the event. Patty’s enthusiasm for painting, as well as attending shows to sell her art, is very inspiring and encouraging! Thanks again for a great presentation, Patty!
