Please note that the November meeting is the 3rd and not 4th Thursday, since the 4th one is Thanksgiving.
ENCOURAGING WORDS FROM PATTY STEWART: Have you ever had trouble naming a new piece? I do. Next time you find yourself struggling with this task, allow yourself to look for new things in the artwork that you’ve never seen before. Where do your eyes intuitively go? What movement can you see? What emotions do you feel? Practice looking at your work as a viewer seeing it for the first time and you may find that you are able to feel the work, and not critique it. Seeing it from a new aspect may bring a title to mind that you’d not thought of before.
AAWV NEW MEMBERSHIP: Our next New Member Jury Session will be held July 12. The sessions are held quarterly and are done digitally.
