My current home town is Cross Lanes but I was born in Elkins, WV in 1953. I have a liberal arts degree from Glenville State College with a major in Art. I began honing my love for art in high school with a love for Pastels. I decided to improve my knowledge of watercolors in 2013 by taking some workshops from well-known artist, Lynn Ferris.

My work has been displayed as the Artist of the Month at the former Pro Art art supply store in Charleston, during the August 2015 Charleston Art Walk, at the Charleston Ballet, at the South Charleston Mound Festival in 2016, 17, 18, 19, 21 and 23 winning first place in the art category.

In December of 2016, I joined Gallery Eleven where I remained as a member until January of 2022. In 2021, I was juried into Tamarack as an artisan in the gallery. In 2023, I was invited to participate in the Mountain State Art & Craft Festival.

I frame all of my personal works and I also operate a framing business out of my studio.

Artistic Statement

I have loved to draw since I was in grade school. The very process of creating something on paper has always given me joy. I began my love for pastels while in high school. My work is identifiable by its highly blended softness. My pursuit of architectural pen & ink drawings feeds my interest in detail. In 2013, I began my exploration of the medium of watercolor. This has opened a whole new dynamic to me. The use of layering and working from light to shadow has been an amazing journey with the result being some lovely watercolor paintings. Each of these mediums has shown me a different way to approach the beauty I see around me every day.

My paintings have been shown in the following venues:
